Modern And Classic Interior Design Ideas For The Bedroom

If you want to add modern interior design to your bedroom, you might want to consider minimalist bedroom designs because they can be interesting and simplistic or complex. Whether you decide to use creative colour ideas or encase the walls in a light, natural wood panelling, there is a variety of designer inspired ideas you can implement in your own space. Classic interior design ideas can be implemented to set the mood and there are updated interior design ideas for the hopeless romantic.

You might think about some of the hotel bedroom designs you have seen in your travels because most of them are designed by professional interior designers. Whether they are artist designed interiors or historically inspired, you can set the mood in your private space, based on the qualities you incorporate. If you prefer a decked-out design, you might consider abstract designs and geometric contemporary themes, but if you want to make your bedroom more romantic, you need to carefully consider a theme that sets the mood.

You might be asking how this can be accomplished, but it isn't as difficult as you might think. You can add a fresh coat of paint in a cool, modern shade or you can use warm, traditional shades for romantic ambience. The palette you select can set the mood, besides the lighting ideas and the textures or materials that are used. Whether you select elegant silk fabrics or a romantic, country floral print, the linen and bedding are other considerations for carrying out your theme. There are many different ways to change your space into an indulgent retreat or a stylish and modern show-place.

Interior Design Ideas: Custom Bookcase and Kitchen of the Year

Do you have a blank wall or awkward nook in your home that you're not sure what to do with? Have you thought of creating a custom bookcase?

A custom bookcase is a fun way to add some extra storage and instant charm to your space, and if there's a window there, create a window seat to go with it! We recently created a custom bookcase and window bench for a client. Their family room was long and at the end of it was this blank window wall that they weren't sure what they wanted to do with.

We designed up the bookcases, painted them in a gray-green color, to flow with the kitchen cabinets in the adjacent room, and added a roman shade, bench cushion and pillows to create a warm cozy spot. Our clients loved the hidden storage below and the extra space above for their books and family photos to be displayed. What do you think about our interior design idea? We truly believe everyone should have a well designed space regardless of budget constraints. If you also have a great interior design idea, stop thinking about it and just go for it!

And now here are some insights about the Kitchen of the Year. In the October Issue of House Beautiful they showcased The Kitchen of the Year, designed by one of America's most renowned kitchen designers Mick De Giulio. The 1,000-square-foot dream kitchen, built in New York's Rockefeller Center is something to truly feast your eyes on, everywhere you look you see the detail and stunning elements that make up this space. Simple but elegant!

Interior Design Ideas Fit for a Summer Retreat

Summer is the perfect excuse to give your home a makeover. There are lots of interior design ideas you can apply to turn your space into a summer haven. This year's trends step out of the traditional summer look showcasing a cooler, crisper, and bolder vibe.

Pastels are still this season's essentials. They don't come in the usual dainty pinks and peaches but in more pastry-like sweet hues with vintage appeal. Walls come alive with soft shades close to those of summer skies leaning more towards cool blues rather than the customary warmer colours. Apply colour blocking with furnishings of deeper and richer hues. The goal is to achieve a cohesive and fresh look. Have a few pieces with brighter colours for a twist. Accessorize with natural looking crafts to maintain the relaxed atmosphere.

A perfect and well-balanced combination of colours is not easy to pull off. Good thing that this summer, one of the hottest trends is actually the trademark white of winter! Contrary to the notion that white is plain and boring, this basic palette could be played up by bringing in different textures, styles and finishes. Bring in modern pieces and mix them with some antiques lacquered to a high shine. Think glossy chairs mixed with matte shelves, leather couches and sheer drapes and fine rugs all in this ethereal colour. With a whitewashed wall as a backdrop, what you have is a crisp but cozy home that screams casual sophistication.
